Virtual Charter Schools

Calvert works with virtual charter public schools throughout the country to provide it's curriculum and academic services. Some of our virtual school partners offer the Calvert curriculum exclusively while others offer it among a menu of curriculum options.

Our Verticy Learning curriculum is well-suited to Virtual Charters as it is the only Orton-Gillingham based distance learning curriculum available. Supplemental reading and math options provide an add-on enhancement and revenue opportunity.

Case Study: Buckeye Online School for Success (BOSS)

The Buckeye On-line School for Success (BOSS) is a statewide public virtual charter school in Ohio is one of our most successful schools. Since its inception in 2005, BOSS has realized an average year-over-year enrollment increase of 75%. BOSS was our first school to adopt the Verticy Learning curriculum. Working closely with parents to oversee their children's schoolwork, BOSS provides curriculum, online instruction and feedback and other support activities to ensure academic success.
